Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone at the UK premiere of Bollywood film 'Om Shanti Om' in London
The premier of Om Shanti Om in Leicester Square, London Nov 8, was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, Shreyas Talpade and thousands of cheering fans.
This was the first time an Indian film had premiered at the Empire at Leicester Square - home of all London movie premieres, Khan said.
Speaking on the occasion Shah Rukh Khan said London was the perfect launching pad for the film because of the history of "cultural cross-pollination" between India and Britain.
